Tälläisiä ihanuuksia on postipoika kantanut minulle viime aikoina. Lähetin Janille ja Cassielle Sukkasillaan-kirjat, ja vastalahjaksi sain lähetyksen lankataivaasta. Aivan ihania lankoja! Tuntuu pyhäinhäväistykseltä edes ajatella kutovansa niistä jotain. Jotain olen silti rohjennut suunnitella: Classic Elite Lushista taidan tehdä Yorickin (tämän unelmanpehmeän langan huovuttaminen kyllä arveluttaa), ja Manoksesta voisi syntyä ranteenlämmittimet. Alpaca&Silk-langasta haluan jotain kaulani ympärille, malli vain on vielä löytymättä.

Kysymys lankaihmemaan asukkaille: miten ihmeessä on mahdollista asua tälläisten lankahoukutusten ympäröimänä, ja silti saada perheelle ruokaa pöytään? En ymmärrä.

Gorgeous yarn, sent to me by Jan and Cassie (once again, thank you!). And all I had to do was to send them two Sukkasillaan books. Lucky me! These yarns are truly wonderful, and it has been quite hard to decide what to knit with them. I have some plans – I'm gonna make Yorick with Classic Elite Lush (although felting this amazingly soft yarn does not feel like the right thing to do), and I'm thinking of knitting a pair of wrist warmers with Manos. Alpaca&Silk is probably going to be something that I can wrap around my neck, because this yarn feels like a summer cloud against my skin. So. Soft.

I do have one question for the habitants of the great yarn wonderland: How is it possible to live there amongst all that pretty yarn and still have some money left to feed your family? Beats me.
