Huh – tämän kutominen tuntui kestävän ikuisesti. Mutta nyt takki on valmis, ja vaikkei siitä nyt ihan täydellistä tullut (takki istuu takaa vähän hassusti, koska vyötäröni on… paksuhko), niin oikein hyvä kuitenkin. Pitoon, ehdottomasti! Päätin jättää napit pois, koska ajatus rintani yli kulkevasta nappirivistä ei oikein tuntunut hyvältä. Iso kilttineula näyttää sopivan tarkoitukseen mainiosti. Ja tietysti tällä kertaa minulla olisi ollut napit odottamassa, koska Anne ystävällisesti metsästi niitä minulle ympäri Eurooppaa. (Anne kiltti, saisinko silti pitää napit? Niille löytyy varmasti käyttöä myöhemminkin.)

I feel like this one took me forever. But now it's finished, and while not perfect (the back shaping looks a bit funny on me, because my waist is not what it used to be), I really like this jacket and I think that I'll be wearing it a lot. I decided to leave the buttons off, and use a kilt pin instead, because I didn't like the idea of buttons going over my breast. I think it looks quite nice this way. And of course, this time I actually had the buttons ready, Anne most kindly sent them to me all the way from Belgium. (Anne please, can I keep the buttons anyway? I'm sure that I can find use for them later.)



Ohjeesta ei löydy moitteen sijaa: se on erittäin selkeä, hyvin kirjoitettu ja mielenkiintoinen, ja lopputulos on tosi kiva. Kate Gilbert on nero.

I cannot say enough good things about this pattern: very clear, well-written, interesting and the end result is very wearable. Genius, that Kate Gilbert.
