From Shetland with love

Yarn: Blue Sky Alpacas Alpaca & Silk, 3 x 50 g
Needles: 4 mm

Olette saattaneet nähdä muutaman tälläisen joskus aiemminkin. Eikä ihme: Shetland Trianglen ohje on ihastuttavan yksinkertainen, täydellinen kaltaiselleni laiskalle pitsinneulojalle. Huivi tuntui syntyvän kuin itsestään (vaikkakin hitaasti). Vähällä vaivalla näyttävä lopputulos, mikäs sen mukavampaa!

I guess you might have seen one or two of these before. No wonder really, because this is such a lovely pattern, nice and very simple, perfect for a lazy lace knitter like me. The shawl practically knit itself (although quite slowly). Minimum effort = maximum result. Me likey!



Parasta huivissa on kuitenkin lanka. Alpakkaa ja silkkiä – tältä tieltä ei enää ole paluuta. Ja kiitos siitä kuuluu Cassielle.

But the best thing about my new shawl is the yarn. Alpaca and silk – I am very spoiled. I got the yarn from Cassie, and for that I thank her dearly.



(Huivi valmistui jo alkuviikosta, mutta päätin jättää valokuvaamisen viikonloppuun. Ja voi ihmettä: aurinko näyttäytyi, vaikkakin hyvin lyhyesti. On niiiiin ikävä kesää ja valoa ja lämpöä.)

(I had been waiting for the weekend and the opportunity to take photos of my finished shawl the whole week, and there really was a brief moment of light today. Thank you sun, I love you! I miss you!)
